The HMWSSB  vigilance officials have registered a criminal case on 23-08-2023 against a person who took 50 mm size water connection without the permission of the authorities and using the water for the construction purpose.

Coming to the details P. Srinivas resident of Plot No. 853, Road No.44, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad under O&M Division 6 took a 50 mm size water connection without any permission from the water board authorities and using the water for the building construction requirements. As part of the investigation by the HMWSSB vigilance officials, it was found that it was an illegal connection. As a result, a criminal case under IPC sections 269, 430, 379 and the Prevention of Damage to Public Property (PDPP) Act has been registered against the owner at the Jubilee Hills police station.

On the occasion, the HMWSSB have warned that criminal cases will be registered against people taking illegal water connections without the permission of the authorities and anyone who finds illegal water connections or those who take domestic connection and use it for commercial purposes to inform the HMWSSB Vigilance Team on 9989998100, 9989992268 and cooperate with the Board.
