Sri M. Dana Kishore, Managing Director, HMWSSB hold a review meeting with the senior officials for taking Special Measures for Resolving Sewerage Issues in Suburban Municipalities after three weeks of taking over sewerage management responsibilities in suburban municipalities from GHMC. During the meeting Managing Director has said that a special task force would be set up for the next three months to address sewerage issues in the suburban municipalities.

The identified 792 hotspots which are frequently overflowing in these areas will be undertaken as a permanent solution by proposing laying new pipelines of the same size here.

Out of 6,684 complaints received in the past three weeks about sewerage issues through Customer Care, public representatives, local people, WhatsApp and various social media outlets, 85 per cent of the complaints are solved immediately. He said that an additional 91 workers and 75 hydraulic silt grabber vehicles are being deployed to resolve the issues expeditiously. The CGMs, GMs, DGMs and managers in these areas must work by coordinating with public representatives and GHMC officials at their respective levels and take steps to resolve issues.
